Marugame Udon Reopens in Glendale

Beloved udon shop celebrates with free meals for frontline heroes!

Marugame Udon, the world’s No. 1 udon concept, will reopen its Glendale location at 1318 Galleria Way to the public on June 23. 

To celebrate the reopening and thank the Glendale frontline heroes who have supported the community throughout the pandemic, the restaurant will be giving away a free bowl of udon and a  soft drink or bottle water to those in uniform or with valid ID on Tuesday, June 22, 11a-1p & 5p-7p.  Limit one free bowl and beverage per person, dine-in only, guest must be present to receive this offer. 

“We look forward seeing our neighborhood guests and continuing to be meaningful part of this terrific community by serving up our handmade-to-order Japanese Sanuki-style udon noodles, plus tempura, robata skewers and more for many years to come” said Marugame Udon Chief Operating Officer Pete Botonis.

The restaurant, located in the Glendale Galleria near Macy’s, was one of the first Marugame Udon locations in the U.S. The Tokyo, Japan-based concept, with U.S. locations in Hawaii, California and Texas, specializes in authentic, handmade Japanese Sanuki-style udon noodles, along with fresh tempura, robata grill and katsu sandos, all made in a lively, theatrical open kitchen.
